Reviews for Sinsun Guiya 신선 구이야 - Korea Town Manila
Review highlights
Based on 122 reviewsSinsun Guiya 신선 구이야 in Korea Town Manila is widely appreciated for its authentic Korean cuisine, notably praised for the quality of its side dishes, kimchi, and comforting options like Galbitang. Patrons highlight the restaurant's convenience as a 24-hour dining spot, making it ideal for late-night cravings. The ambiance is generally described as cozy and accessible, with friendly and attentive staff enhancing the experience. While the food is mostly well-received, some dishes such as japchae have been noted to be inconsistently prepared. The casual dress code of the staff may initially feel unconventional to some, but it does not detract from the overall satisfaction. The option for free side dish refills and proximity to complementary dessert spots add to its appeal.
Great place to dine. The staff wear mini shorts as uniform which I found awkward at first because it seems so casual. But their food tastes good and I love their side dishes (which you can refill for free ). We always buy Korean ice cream at the store beside it for dessert after eating here.
I personally liked the 게란찜. Not salty at all and taste just fine. And their kimchi is really really good! The place is cozy and accessible. Staffs are friendly.
Good thing because this place is 24hours open. I thought it is also one of the unli samgyup resto. Food is ok, but the service is exceptional. I will recommend this place if you're craving for some korean food, anytime of the day. By the way, japchae not fairly cooked.
when you’re craving for kbbq at wee hours, this is a spot for you. I hvae enjoyed dining here for years.
Definitely go for their Galbitang (갈비탕) or Beef Short Rib Soup if your looking for absolute comfort food. Make sure to take of the beef first, taste the soup, season to your liking, pour in the rice then place back the beef. Now you can take your IG-worthy flat lay and share with your friends! Pro Tip: After taking your photo, remove the beef again and place it in a separate plate. One by one put back the portion of beef you're about to eat so that it doesn't come too hot.
